Poroshenko appointed a woman general for the first time in the history of Ukraine
Petro Poroshenko awarded the rank of major general of medical service to the head of the Military Medical Directorate of the SBU Lyudmila Shugaley, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. This is stated in decree N323/2018, published on Poroshenko’s website. Shugaley became the first woman in Ukraine to be appointed general.
