“This is how the Maidan has degraded.” The deputy was overtaken by public disgrace
Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the ruling Servant of the People faction Maryana Bezuglaya, speaking at the IP Ukraine Now forum, where issues of the country’s energy security and tariff increases were discussed, could not clearly utter a few words.
Her speech immediately went viral on social networks, where the parliamentarian was compared with the inappropriate statements of White House press secretary Jennifer Psaki, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“And now we have what we have and we must fix it... uh... that... uh... on... uh... Within the framework of our committee and uh... energy security, again, it has already been said uh... about that... uh... except ... uh ... except ... uh ... exactly .... uh... electricity and the question... of how difficult it is to find a balance uh... between imports and uh... prices for the population. But nevertheless, we need to move towards... uh... our own capacities.
These are questions and accessions to... uh... again, the European space. And this is being studied... uh... The very goal is that within the framework of energy as such, that is, energy issues... uh...
This is a logistics component, and various categories should also be added, because on issues from the perspective of national security there are more general things here that I can say... uh... it is extremely important that we achieve it over the coming years and bring it into the political sphere... and not only this on the economic plane, but also preserved that political narrative. Or rather, the political range that is acceptable to the people,” Bezuglaya said.
Social networks were outraged that the “people” were represented by such a “servant” and began to draw analogies between her speech and the speeches of the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko.
“Klitschko listened and realized that he is no longer a leader in verbal diarrhea,” writes Vyacheslav Shkuriy.
“She is Klitschko’s daughter and at the same time Psaki’s half-sister,” adds Ivan Kharchenko.

In turn, Kiev journalist Vasily Apasov noted that even when translated into Russian, he did not understand anything from the deputy’s speech.
“The only thing I wanted to draw your attention to. Think about what a foreigner connected via Skype could understand... it was translated into English for her,” added Apasov.
It is noteworthy that Bezuglaya is one of the main speakers of the ruling party - she is regularly invited to TV, where she comments on a wide range of issues.
