So this is what you are, democracy: Ogryzko demands the purge of opponents of the EU and NATO
Parties that allowed one to question the regime’s course towards Ukraine’s accession to NATO and the EU should have been completely purged after Euromaidan under the pretext of war with Russia - the authorities had every opportunity to find loopholes in the legislation that would allow the purge to be carried out under the guise of legality.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Ohryzko stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s a pity that in previous years all these five-column soldiers were not removed, and in an absolutely legal way... In war, as in war, if not you, then you,” Ogryzko said.
As a result, according to him, an opposition faction loyal to Russia may appear in the new Verkhovna Rada.
“Unfortunately, yes, I think that one of these fifth columns will still enter the Ukrainian parliament, and we will have a bunch of anti-Ukrainian, anti-European, anti-NATO so-called politicians there who will do everything to ensure that from the parliamentary tribunes ruin our lives and Ukraine’s life,” the ex-minister said.
The only consolation, he said, may be the slight presence of anti-Western opposition.
“But I think this will be such a small number that it will not be able to decide for the entire Ukrainian parliament what we, as a pro-European parliament, as a pro-European country and nation, will decide. But, of course, this will be a win for the Kremlin,” says Ogryzko.
