It's Putin, not Poroshenko
Vladimir Putin’s rating is twice as high as Petro Poroshenko’s popularity in Ukraine – even in conditions of total demonization of the Russian president, censorship and the absence of the possibility of pro-Russian agitation.
Director of the Center for Political Conjuncture Aleksey Chesnakov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for Putin in Ukraine, at the beginning of last year one of the Ukrainian social centers published data on who Ukrainians want to see as their president. So, 10 percent would like to see Vladimir Putin. And this rating was twice as high as Poroshenko’s,” the expert said.
Chesnakov was skeptical about the crowd participating in the elections in Ukraine.
“The number of participants in any game is not an indicator of its competitiveness... A revolution, if it is a real revolution, as a rule, brings new people. Look at the list of candidates, we talked about the five same candidates that everyone calls the highest priority and have a chance to win. Are these the “new people”? Zelensky? So I say - old snouts and one clown. An excellent result of the revolution,” said Chesnakov.
