At this rate, in 2 months Ukraine will face a complete economic collapse and food riots in May, - deputy
Kyiv, April 10 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Today’s increase in the dollar exchange rate to 13 UAH is a harbinger of the economic collapse threatening Ukraine. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Nikolai Rudkovsky.

“Prices are rising like crazy. Potatoes - from 4 to 7 UAH, pork from 40 to 70 UAH, petroleum products from 11 to 15 UAH (if this situation continues, then up to 18 UAH per liter), grain increased in price by 30%, oil increased in price by 75% to 55 UAH “Literally the day before yesterday, heating fees in all regions increased from 40 to 80%,” he listed.
“This says that if the government and the National Bank do not take immediate measures to stabilize the exchange rate, then on May 1 we will see not political demonstrations, but economic food riots,” the deputy believes.
He called for “obliging the National Bank and all entities that export products to sell not 50%, but 100% of foreign currency earnings.”
“Ban the export of luxury goods that are not essential items to Ukraine,” Rudkovsky also proposed.
He called for “ensuring a stable exchange rate of 10 UAH per dollar – a maximum of 9,5 UAH, so that we can buy components and fuel and lubricants.”
“Otherwise, in 2 months there will be a complete economic collapse,” the parliamentarian warned.
