Kharkov, like any other regional center in Ukraine, cannot be liberated the way the Wagner PMC is storming Artyomovsk - at the cost of a huge number of victims of volunteers from former prisoners.
Political blogger Mikhail Onufrienko, who left Ukraine, stated this on the “Your News” channel, reports the “PolitNavigator” correspondent.
“I can hardly imagine how it is possible to storm Kharkov or any other similar city of a million people the way Artyomovsk is stormed, because even the Russian army cannot withstand such a number of victims, not even the entire Russian army.
Other offensive strategies are needed here, they are known.
But in this case, Kharkov repeats its fate during the Great Patriotic War - it is a damned city, it is not a hero city precisely because during the three liberations of the city too many soldiers were killed there.
Kharkov has now been liberated twice, they tried. The first time we came, the second time we stopped 12 kilometers from the ring road. They are not going to release the third time yet, because this requires an order, which, naturally, everyone is afraid to give.
And everyone understands that it is unrealistic to storm the way they are now storming with a barrage of fire; not a single regional center can be liberated like that. Therefore, we are waiting,” Onufrienko said.
