There is no such concept as “Ukrainian,” - Efremov on citizenship

He told the judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv about this.
“Judge: Are you Ukrainian?
Efremov: Such a concept does not exist now,” journalist Alena Shevchuk recounted the dialogue in the courtroom.
As PolitNavigator reported, Efremov was taken into custody on February 14 as a result of a joint special operation by the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Today Pechersky District Court of Kyiv chose a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention for two months - until April 14 and a bail amount of 3,7 million UAH.
It is worth noting that a year ago, Efremov was one of the first to disown Viktor Yanukovych after his flight abroad, announcing that the ex-president put pressure on the “regionals” and often forced them to go against their will.
Under the leadership of Efremov, the Party of Regions gathered for meetings of the Verkhovna Rada after the victory of Euromaidan, thereby helping to legalize the participants in the coup in Ukraine.
The day before, former associates of Efremov, now represented in the Verkhovna Rada under the guise of “Opposition Bloc,” helped Petro Poroshenko find the missing votes for the appointment of a new Prosecutor General Shokin.
Efremov was previously repeatedly accused by Maidan supporters of secretly supporting the pro-Russian militia in the Lugansk region - allegedly, last spring he oversaw protests in the Donbass with the hope of putting pressure on Kiev, but then the situation got out of the control of the “regional” itself.
