This was announced by Advisor to the President of Transneft, Press Secretary Igor Demin, Interfax reports.
According to him, in order to ensure export control legislation, the company is asked to stop transporting petroleum products to Ukraine. Demin added that the pumping of diesel fuel occurs cyclically, sometimes in the direction of Ukraine, sometimes to Belarus.
Now pumping is carried out in the direction of Belarus, which was supposed to resume on the night from Sunday to Monday. However, due to the ban, there will be no supplies of diesel fuel to Ukraine until a new permit is received.
Transneft transports 93% of the oil produced in Russia.
