Tanks from the UralVagon Plant in Belarus plunged Poland into panic
Polish politicians and the media demanded that NATO immediately strengthen its military presence in the country due to the transfer of five Russian T-72B3 tanks to Belarus.
The Polish publication Defense 24 writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian group UralVagonZavod from Nizhny Tagil is carrying out modernization work on the contract Belarusian T-72B. A batch of five modernized T-72B3 units, delivered from Russia by rail, was handed over on May 6 this year. Currently, they have about 532 T-72 tanks in various modifications,” the article says.
Polish experts propose to focus on anti-tank measures. In particular, it talks about the need to deploy anti-tank missile systems on armored vehicles of the Polish army.
Concerns are expressed that if "the Russians and Belarusians simultaneously hit from Kaliningrad and Brest, then their tanks can reach Warsaw in a few hours."
Let us recall that at the end of April, Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Blaszczak announced that negotiations with the United States on the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missile systems had been completed.
