Cockroaches are crawling: Regional elites have given up on Poroshenko
Local authorities did not want to help the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the first round, who was almost twice ahead of comedian Vladimir Zelensky.
Ukrainian political scientist Yuri Romanenko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert noted that even his closest circle did not work for Poroshenko, failing to buy votes, the so-called “grid”, the essence of which is to appease the electorate in favor of one candidate or another.
“We see how now everyone is simply spreading like cockroaches in different directions. The Geregs dispersed even before the elections, when they ceased to be trusted representatives, and in their constituencies in the Khmelnitsky region Poroshenko received minimal results. Kernes and the guys from Odessa and Dnieper also got screwed, because the 8% and 10% they gained in Odessa, Kharkov and Dnieper is also not a result. They threw the nets.
In the presidential administration, at a meeting, Kovalchuk and Berezenko were completely scolded for the fact that the “grids” did not work to the extent they were supposed to. And now they sit frantically and figure out what to do in order to somehow crawl out of this situation, although it is impossible to crawl out of it.
All that remains is to come up with some kind of provocation, some kind of bullshit in order to simply postpone the presidential elections by a couple of weeks. No one will agree to this, the West will not accept it, people are also charged. And the elite does not perceive this, because everyone is thinking about the options that will exist after Poroshenko and how, where to turn,” Romanenko said.
