Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Oligarch Sergei Taruta, dismissed from the post of governor of the Donetsk region, actually pointed out the incompetence of the president, who appointed army general and ex-commander of internal troops Alexander Kikhtenko in Taruta’s place.

The ex-governor expressed this opinion in an interview with the weekly Focus.

“I don’t know what dictated the president’s choice, but I respect his decision,” says Taruta. – Although the governor is a businessman, not a military leader. Moreover, there are already a lot of military people here. So the reliance on the military is unclear to me. This only confirms the fact that the president does not understand what the governor is doing today in his post - he certainly does not command the military, they do not obey him. The head of the Regional State Administration must deal with issues of governance, economics, and ensure the holding of elections.”
