“The Donetsk region will not be able to live independently for 2 weeks. I already talked about this. Our region does not need the products it produces. Everything is supplied outside the region. In 2-3 weeks, enterprises will stop, with the exception of several food industry enterprises,” the governor said, as quoted by the Ostrov publication.
He emphasized that the Russian Federation has not yet expressed a desire to accept the region into its composition.
“Russia is not yet in a big hurry to embrace the Donetsk region. They see that we have a lot of problems,” the governor added.
As Navigator reported, yesterday the “Donetsk People’s Republic” declared its sovereignty and accepted an appeal to the Russian Federation asking for the DPR to join the Russian Federation.
