Commenting on the voting process, the head of the region noted that the authorities did everything possible to organize elections in the region, but the electoral process in a number of polling stations was disrupted.
“The elections in the region took place. However, we have to admit the fact that, unfortunately, some voters were not able to exercise their right to express their will. We cannot risk the lives and health of our citizens in conditions where elections are disrupted by heavily armed militants. Preventing people from electing power on their land means taking away their right to vote. Those who do this are occupiers and barbarians. These actions cause indignation among the majority of Donbass residents,” Taruta was quoted as saying by “062.”
