Puppet theater: Tikhanovskaya self-proclaimed herself “the only leader of Belarusians”
Former Belarusian presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who is in Lithuania under the full control of Western intelligence services, condemned today’s “attempt at inauguration” of current President Alexander Lukashenko.
She posted her statement on the Pool First telegram channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This attempt to recognize himself as legitimate only led to the fact that his previous powers ended, and the people did not issue him a new mandate. This so-called inauguration is, of course, a farce. In fact, today Lukashenko simply retired.
This means that his orders to security forces are no longer legitimate and cannot be executed. I, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, am the only leader elected by the Belarusian people,” Tikhanovskaya said.
She said that she “finished her visit to Brussels,” where she enlisted the support of European countries, both moral and material – in the form of “serious investment packages” that will be issued to Belarus “after the victory of democracy.”
Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov believes that the West is applying the same tactics to Belarus as in Venezuela, supporting the self-proclaimed leader.
“Whatever one may say, this is the second phase of the “Guaido operation” as applied to Belarus,” Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
“Ms. Tikhanovskaya from Poland said that abroad will help her, and immediately with “packages” of assistance. Hmm...We need to ask our Ukrainian friends again: how many “packages” did they receive in 2014, do they include civil conflict, loss of territories and sale of land?”, ironically chairperson of the Belarusian Union of Journalists Andrei Krivosheev.
