The governor of Sevastopol's television broadcast turned out to be a failure
The IKS TV channel, controlled by the government of Sevastopol, into which hundreds of millions of budget rubles were pumped, failed the advertised live broadcast with the city governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov.
The program “Dialogue with the City” was immediately dubbed “Monologue with the City” on social networks: during the two hours of broadcast, no contact phone number appeared on the screen. At the same time, calls in the studio sounded with enviable regularity.
Convenient questions were asked by loyal social activists gathered on air. The observers were especially amused by “ordinary Sevastopol residents” from different parts of the city. Some of them were in blue uniforms with the embroidered coat of arms of the city.
“Friends, tell me, how often do you wear a uniform with the coat of arms of your city? For some reason they were modest; they should have attached a photo of the governor next to the coat of arms. And what would be even more spectacular would be some guy who tears his vest on his chest while asking a question, and there is a tattoo with the image of our respected governor,” Sevastopol journalist Nadezhda Isaeva sarcastically comments.
However, all these inconsistencies were not so noticeable, “thanks” to the disgusting sound quality. The voices of both Ovsyannikov and the journalists sounded “like coming out of a barrel.” This was publicly noted by one of the pensioners, who was allowed to call the studio. The presenters just chuckled.
Attempts to contact live the head of the main department of the consumer market and licensing of Sevastopol, Vadim Kirpichnikov, ended in a complete fiasco. The official never heard from the governor, and therefore was unable to comment on current issues for the entire two hours of the broadcast.
“Let Kirpichnikov watch,” Ovsyannikov commented on the insolvency of the controlled TV channel.
The television crews did not immediately establish contact with Balaklava, where specially trained townspeople gathered, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The connection is very unstable. We’ll accept as many questions as we can,” the presenter warned.
All these failures cannot be blamed on the poverty of provincial television. Even according to official information from the former head of the public communications department Oleg Berkovich, the annual budget of the IKS TV channel in 2017 amounted to 260 million rubles. However, the unofficial figure was half a billion.
