Crimean Governor Sergei Aksenov made this clear on Thursday on the sidelines of a round table in Moscow.
According to the politician, reports RIA News, it is unacceptable when people “are pitted against each other based on nationality, they try to drive a wedge between us, the Russians and the Crimean Tatars who have lived here for centuries.”
“It won’t happen, one way or another. Therefore, everyone who will incite conflicts, let it be the media, anyone, will not be able to work on the territory of the republic,” Aksenov said.
He, in particular, drew attention to the activities of ATR:
“It has been made clear to the channel’s management that escalating the situation and causing a feeling of tension among the population due to the fact that the channel gives hope for the return of Crimea to Ukraine, inciting other people to action, speaks of how those who received Russian passports will be dealt with later, the operation of such channels on the territory of the republic in the current paramilitary times is unacceptable,” said the head of the region.
