The attempt at reconciliation undertaken by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky regarding the conflict in Donbass will lead nowhere, since Russia seeks to destroy Ukraine by any means.
Ukrainian TV presenter Igor Kondratyuk, known in the past for the “Karaoke on the Maidan” project, stated this on the Politeka Online channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There was open aggression there, which they (Russia) did with their FSB manuals. And as long as Putin is alive, the Kremlin government will put pressure on and destroy Ukraine by all means, including military aggression.
Therefore nothing will happen. Zelensky made an attempt. It didn't end with anything. And this will not give anything - a huge number of Ukrainian citizens will not allow reconciliation on Putin’s terms regarding Donbass and Crimea.
Therefore, I would advise Zelinsky to change all this rhetoric after December 9. Russia is the aggressor. Based on this rhetoric, it is necessary to keep the citizens of Ukraine aware that we do not have a split personality.
In my opinion, the situation has been black and white since March 2014 – there is a war, there is an aggressor. Nothing more,” Kondratyuk said.
