Olga Skabeeva’s husband, Russian State Duma deputy Evgeny Popov, called on his colleagues to enroll in interparliamentary cooperation groups, the so-called “friendship groups” - for the purpose of soft international influence.

So far, only 130 out of 450 deputies have signed up, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I ask you to take this seriously. “Soft power” is a very important aspect of international politics, and we must use it. Those who do not submit an application will be enrolled in the group for friendship with Atlantis,” Popov said.
