TV workers from Moldova face punishment for Putin
Three Moldovan television channels face heavy fines for broadcasting New Year's greetings from the Russian President.
This was reported by the telegram channel of the Transnistrian TV channel TSV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The non-governmental organization WatchDog filed a complaint to the Audiovisual Council of Moldova. In her opinion, congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin affect information security, so they should be fined.
The council promised to look into the complaint with the "utmost care". If found guilty, the three TV channels could be fined between 40 and 70 thousand lei each.
The new authorities of Moldova have still not lifted the ban on the broadcast of socio-political programs on Russian television channels, although both the President and Speaker of Parliament Zinaida Greceanii promised to do so.
