“The cemeteries are filled with those who wanted a fair fight”: The DPR fears that Kyiv will deceive again
The agreement reached yesterday in Minsk on the disengagement of Ukrainian troops and the LDPR army at three “hot spots” of the front in the Donbass is a consequence of the pressure of the European Union on Kyiv. This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR Sergei Lugansky.

"The European Union is tired of lies and twists on the part of the Ukrainian government, Poroshenko in particular. It was specifically announced to Ukraine that it is necessary to implement the Minsk agreements... Europe’s patience has simply run out. How many times has Poroshenko been caught outright lying? Even the deaf and dumb OSCE is no longer able to hide the facts of violations...
This is firstly, and secondly, Ukraine apparently still has some part of the instinct of self-preservation left. After our unilateral ceasefire, it would have been logical for us to announce an ultimatum and go on the offensive if Ukraine had not stopped shelling our territories. Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko warned Ukraine very clearly. Our cup of patience is already full,” the parliamentarian noted.
He expressed concern that the agreement on the separation of the parties, reached in Minsk, could easily be violated by Kiev, as has happened more than once with the Minsk agreements.
“I do not exclude that the decision to separate the parties on the part of Kyiv may be a banal military stratagem. There is an old military saying: “The cemeteries are filled with those who wanted a fair fight,” recalled the Donetsk deputy.
