Temirgaliev: We sent new contracts for water use to Kyiv, but cutting off water is political blackmail
Moscow - Simferopol, April 15 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Ukraine has cut off the water supply to Crimea via the North Crimean Canal to the maximum extent possible. 7 cubic meters of water per second out of 100 is a technological minimum, the blocking of which will lead to silting of the canal.

The State Water Agency of Ukraine, which manages supplies through the canal, reports that the reason for the restriction is the lack of agreements with water users in Crimea, who have not concluded them, despite the official appeal of the canal management, writes Kommersant.
At the same time, the agency reports, from April 7, consumers of Crimea, despite a debt of 1,7 million hryvnia, began drawing water from the Razdolnensky Canal and as of April 11, they unauthorizedly took 1,5 million cubic meters.
Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev is sure that this is political blackmail. “We have sent them a revised version of the agreements and are waiting for a reaction to understand whether this is a formal reason or political pressure,” he says.
