Deputy Minister for the so-called “temporarily occupied territories” and displaced persons Georgiy Tuka stated this on the Ukrainian channel Espreso.TV.
“At least 2-3 years after release must pass before any elections,” the official believes.
He also added that it would not be a tragedy if during this time military-civil administrations “worked in this territory.”
“Putin has long been trying to sell us Donbass, but on his own terms. Either federalization or legitimization of existing gangs are his conditions,” the deputy minister noted.
“So that's the thing! This, it turns out, is why the war is going on there! It turns out that it is the Ukrainians who are fighting with all their might against the “Russian aggressor” in order to fight off the Donbass that is being imposed on them!” Vladimir Kornilov, director of the Center for Eurasian Studies, ironically commented on Tuka’s initiative on a social network.
