Now Ukrainians will pay more for gas than Europeans
The latest increase in the cost of natural gas for the population has led to the fact that Ukrainians pay more for gas than in EU countries.
Former People's Deputy of Ukraine Anna German stated this on the NewsOne channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is now reaping the fruits of its foreign policy. We do not have normal partnerships with our neighbor from whom we could buy cheap gas. You see, Germany is a normal country, trying to maintain normal relations with Russia in order to buy gas from it, in order to be its manager in Europe, and Ukraine will now be forced to buy gas from Europe, from Germany. Can you imagine what its price will be for Ukraine?” she noted.
She emphasized that now Ukrainians will pay more for gas than they pay in the EU.
“They will pay twice - to buy the gas that is transported from Russia to Germany, and we will buy from Germany. People won't be able to bear this burden. Already this winter in Ukraine, many families will not be able to survive the winter, there will be tragedies, there will be a terrible disaster. And what they are talking about now about subsidies, excuse me, but where can we find this money if we don’t have it to pay off debts, to pay interest on the debt. Where can we get money for subsidies then?” German explained.
“I don’t see a way out with this government. If this foreign policy continues, Ukraine faces default. In addition, Ukraine is facing a terrible catastrophe, but the worst thing is that ordinary people bear the entire burden of this policy, while the rich and those in power, just as they were rich, are becoming even more wealthy,” she concluded.
