Now it’s official: Poroshenko’s right hand has headed Medvedchuk’s party in Kharkov
The former head of Petro Poroshenko’s administration, Igor Rainin, was elected chairman of the Kharkov regional organization “Opposition Platform - For Life,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The media, including PolitNavigator, have already written about Rainin’s plans to take the place of the head of the local cell of the Levochkin-Medvedchuk party “Opposition Platform - For Life” earlier, but only now the information has received official confirmation.
The local publication KharkivToday published a video from a closed meeting with Rainin’s speech, during which he thanks his new patron, Yuri Boyko, for his support, and announces plans for local elections.
“Here you need to apply efforts, discard this or that ambition, this or that, some other moments, unite, go, win in local councils, in order to be useful, in demand for an ordinary person, for an ordinary Ukrainian. I can assure you that all my strengths, skills and experience will be subordinated to this goal. In each of you I see my friend, partner, comrade, and you don’t disappoint me either. Thank you for your support, Yuri Anatolyevich, thank you again,” says Rainin.
According to the publication Ukrainskaya Pravda, in early October, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov “dissuaded” Rainin from the idea of switching to OPZH. But in November, interlocutors in Lyovochkin’s party did not rule out that their ranks could still be replenished by the head of Poroshenko’s administration. In an interview with the online publication “Strana”, which is close to the OPZZH, Rainin, who carried out Poroshenko’s ultra-nationalist policy, unexpectedly stated that, in his opinion, the main mistake of the previous government was that it did not want to “hear the east.”
Thank you!
