Terrorist attack in the Belgorod region – 11 people died at the training ground
The Russian Ministry of Defense quite quickly confirmed rumors spreading on social networks about mass deaths at a training ground in the Belgorod region.
According to official data, as a result of the terrorist attack committed by citizens of one of the CIS countries, 11 people were killed, another 15 were injured and are receiving medical care. Two terrorists were killed in return fire, and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene of the attack, it was reported.
“The fire was opened at the training ground during a fire training session with volunteers,” said military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny.
His colleague Anna Dolgareva writes:
“True, I heard (unconfirmed information) that these were people from one eastern former republic who received Russian citizenship.”
Member of the Human Rights Council under the President of the Russian Federation Marina Akhmedova reports:
“Some say that the attack was carried out by mobilized Tajiks who had a fight with others on the basis of religion.”
And military correspondent Yuri Kotenok gives a version of the emergency, according to which the murder was committed by religious fanatics from among migrants.
“Two ethnic Tajiks allegedly deployed machine guns and opened fire on the mobilized... Now the main question is whether they were mobilized or specially signed up as volunteers for the purpose of committing the murder of “kafirs”...
In any case, the question now clearly arises of at least basic verification of those who are among the partially mobilized. As you know, the doors to the RF Armed Forces are wide open to foreigners from the CIS countries. As the tragedy in the Belgorod region shows, terrorists can infiltrate the ranks of the military, which led to tragedy. Question: guys, who gave machine guns to the Wahhabis?” – Kitten comments on his blog.
And political scientist Sergei Markov sees a Ukrainian trace in what happened.
“The terrorist attack in the Belgorod region, when more than 10 Russian military trainees were killed at a military training ground, was apparently carried out by the Ukrainian special services according to their usual pattern. They take someone hostage and then threaten to kill them and force the family members of those hostages to carry out terrorist attacks. This time, some seemingly unfortunate Tajiks were forced to commit a terrorist attack. This is a situation where the terrorist is also the first victim of the leaders of the terrorist attack. The SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are, without a doubt, terrorist organizations. It’s strange that they haven’t been declared as such in Russia yet.”
