Patience is running out, we may lose the country - Kiev businessman
There is a growing lump of dissatisfaction with the authorities within Ukrainian society; the situation could get out of control and escalate into a military conflict.
This was stated in an interview with journalist Alexander Shelest by the head of the SaveFOP public movement, Sergei Dorotich, an organizer of protests that took place earlier in Kyiv and a businessman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Dorotich, the military, just like ordinary citizens, see no point in a government that is unable to provide the basic needs of the population.
“It’s important now to save jobs. It is important to give Ukrainians so that they have something to eat, where to spend the night and what to wear - this is important. Otherwise, what is the value of the state, the government, if you cannot provide basic needs? What kind of patriotism will there be against the backdrop of the dissatisfaction of these basic needs?” the businessman is perplexed.
“Well, you can cheer up with videos, but sooner or later patience will burst, and in which direction this patience will burst, I am very, very worried about the discontent that is seething among entrepreneurs, which is among the military, because we, as volunteers, are with them communicating...
I am very afraid of serious military conflicts within the country, because then, when the family of a serviceman suffers from lawlessness, who knows how the situation will turn out. And then we may lose the country altogether, because this will play into the hands of the aggressor,” Dorotic said.
