The West's patience is running out, normalization of relations with the Russian Federation is inevitable - Saakashists
Ukraine does not show a real desire to become a country of the West, which in this case will not forever extend anti-Russian sanctions.
Ex-Deputy Head of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine David Sakvarelidze stated this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe”, when asked whether Ukraine’s Western partners will have enough patience for long.
“I think not for long. They will help us, give us some pennies so that we don’t die of hunger, so that the country doesn’t physically collapse, but for the time being. Everyone already wants normalization of relations with Russia. But the Ukrainian government does not show progress, does not show a real desire to become a Western country - with its own institutions, its own reforms, and so on. In such a situation, they are not eager to maintain sanctions indefinitely. The time will come when they will tell us: why should we help you if you don’t want to help yourself?” predicts an ally of ex-President of Georgia Saakashvili.
