Russia's patience in the Sea of Azov is coming to an end
The Russian Federation can block the Sea of Azov for the movement of any Ukrainian watercraft in a matter of minutes.
Senator of the Federation Council Franz Klintsevich stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, the detentions, arrests and kidnappings of Russian ships by Ukraine, as well as maintaining a list of “violators” who entered the ports of Crimea, is lawlessness that can provoke the Russian Federation to take tough actions.
“This is sheer chaos. And it doesn’t matter whether we are talking about Russian ships or ships of foreign countries - both of them entered the ports of Crimea completely legally. We are literally being pushed to take sharp retaliatory actions. Yes, we are literally capable of blocking the Sea of Azov for any Ukrainian vessel in minutes. And I do not rule out that similar actions may follow. In fact, Ukraine itself is actually breaking the agreement on the Sea of Azov, from which only it will suffer,” Klintsevich said.
Previously, the head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov ruled out the possibility of NATO ships passing through the Kerch Strait.
