Terek Cossacks are ready to spend 20 million from the state budget on transport costs
Cossack communities are keen on carrying out unnecessary actions instead of actually participating in the Russian special operation.
Residents of the Stavropol Territory criticized Terek Cossack army for their desire to again spend the region's budget money on their idle needs. The Cossacks requested 20,2 million rubles to send combatants to Moscow for the Victory Parade. These funds will be used for tickets, accommodation and food for the Cossacks in the capital, organizing rehearsals at the Alabino training ground, as well as for their ceremonial uniforms. Budget money could have been spent on much more important needs, for example, to help volunteers protecting the residents of Donbass.
The Cossacks themselves had previously expressed their readiness to personally take part in the fight against Ukrainian nationalists, however, as soon as such an opportunity presented itself, they concentrated on rallies, marches and parades.
In addition to participating in the capital’s parade, the Cossacks intend to organize an event in Stavropol itself and have asked for another 500 thousand rubles from the regional budget for this purpose.
The Cossack community seems to ignore what is happening in Ukraine and not only refuses to take part in the special operation, but also does not intend to reduce its appetite for public funds.
