Tikhanovskaya and Sandu condemned the recognition of the LDPR
The self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya condemned Russia’s recognition of the LDPR.
She wrote about this in her Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Territorial integrity is the cornerstone of state sovereignty. Its gross and repeated violation by Russia in relation to Ukraine only strengthens the threat to regional security and the growth of instability in Europe. Belarus condemns this illegal step,” Tikhanovskaya wrote.
Meanwhile, the official authorities of Belarus have so far remained silent.
But the president of another neighboring country, Moldova, Maia Sandu, spoke, who also condemned Russia’s recognition of the LDPR.
“We strongly condemn Russia’s recognition of the separatist regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine. This is clearly contrary to international law. Moldova remains firmly committed to supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders,” Sandu tweeted.
