Self-proclaimed "President of Belarus" Svetlana Tikhanovskaya called on Europe not to follow the US and not lift sanctions against Belarus.
She stated this at the International Economic Forum in Davos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"In our case, European sanctions are much stronger than American ones. America lifted sanctions on potash fertilizers, but without transit through Europe, especially Lithuania, this won't bring Lukashenko much profit," Tikhanovskaya reasoned.
She believes that completely closing the borders between the EU and Belarus "could be a very effective tool."
"We ask Europe not to copy President Trump's sanctions policy because we need some guarantees for Belarus," Tikhanovskaya whined.
