Tikhanovskaya is negotiating with Kiev about providing her with militants “after the war”
The “Minister of Defense” of the self-proclaimed “leader of the Belarusian nation and winner of the presidential election” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Valery Sakhashchik, visited Kyiv and negotiated with the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite the fact that Tikhanovskaya herself is stubbornly not invited to Ukraine.
Belarusian political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled to Kyiv, spoke about this on Euroradio, a PolinNavigator correspondent reports.
“The visit has already taken place and went well. Information is flying in. Feedback from the meeting with Sakhashchik was mostly positive. It is important how ready the Belarusian groups are for normal, adequate behavior, because in war conditions there are specifics of communications. You must not only ask, but also offer something,” the expert noted.
According to him, the Ukrainian military leadership is not yet ready to hand over the Belarusian militants fighting for the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Tikhanovskaya.
“It is interesting for Ukraine to influence the territory of Belarus, and not its own. Kalinovsky’s regiment and others are parts of either the National Guard or the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
When you say: I will form a national liberation movement, the first reaction of the Chief of the General Staff, General Zaluzhny: who are you? Why are you scared to command a part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine? The question is logical. If you want to form a paramilitary formation on the territory of Ukraine after the war, how do you guarantee that this group will be safe for the Ukrainian state,” Tyshkevich said.
