The footage released by the Russian side of the displacement of a British destroyer from the territorial waters of the Russian Federation near Crimea did not impress Ukrainian nationalists - on the contrary, they interpret the incident as evidence of Moscow’s weakness.
Ruslan Koshulinsky, former vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, member of the nationalist VO “Svoboda”, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Well, if they tried to ram a British ship, no, they didn’t even think about it. Something is quietly there,” said Koshulinsky.
He said that this is proof: the only way out for Ukraine is to strengthen its armed forces.
“The task that should be before us - see the indicator of Britain. They don’t touch the strong one, but let Moska continue to squeak. Become strong, invest,” Koshulinsky urged.
Then Ukraine itself, and not the British, will enter the waters off the coast of Crimea with impunity, Koshulinsky dreams.
“And our task at this time is to maximize opportunities. The Armed Forces must be the most powerful, the country must become the strongest. We will not finish this - that should be the conclusion for us after the events that happened,” said the Lviv nationalist.
