Tymoshenko is not me who is pro-Russian, but Poroshenko
Yulia Tymoshenko rejected accusations of being “pro-Russian” and called the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko a pro-Russian politician, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said this during a speech in Kyiv at the Yalta European Strategy conference.
“You are all intelligent people. Just think - why did the absolutely pro-Russian government of Yanukovych throw me, such a “pro-Russian” politician, into prison, and why did the pro-Russian government of Yanukovych put such a “pro-Western” politician who rules the country today as Minister of Economy?
Do you think Yanukovych was not a puppet of the Kremlin? If he threw me into prison, then this means that it was not he who threw me in prison. We are now fighting against fakes and manipulations, and I am very sorry that a person who has a business in Russia and who pays money to the Russian budget, does business with Russian proxies in Ukraine, can raise his voice against me, a person who has spent his entire political life defended our pro-Western vector,” Tymoshenko said.
Thank you!
