“In Ukrainian society, dissatisfaction with the economic policies of the authorities and anxiety about the future are growing, especially as the heating season approaches,” the publication notes. – Still, not everyone who needs them can apply for subsidies (in particular, due to the registration system, which is an analogue of the Soviet registration). Those who accumulate debts may have their apartment taken away by the court. Volodymyr Groysman assured that this norm will not be applied, but the corresponding law is in force in Ukraine, and the government does not have the right to repeal it.”
At the same time, the publication points out that the issue of social protection of the population was raised on their flags by the Ukrainian opposition - both former members of the Party of Regions and former allies of the Poroshenko and Yatsenyuk parties in the parliamentary coalition.
“We will prove in court that the tariffs are too high. If we don’t achieve anything, then we will raise people to force the government to return to making those decisions that people need, and not those that corrupt officials need,” the newspaper quotes a statement from Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko.
“Rumors have been circulating in Ukraine for several weeks that Tymoshenko’s party is allegedly preparing protests at the beginning of the heating season - that is, just in time for the arrival of the IMF mission in Kyiv,” reports NG. “Batkivshchyna could be joined by the Radical Party, which already tried to initiate a “tariff Maidan” when it became known about the future increase in tariffs.”
