Former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yulia Tymoshenko must answer before the law for libel.
Deputy Minister for the Affairs of “Occupied Territories” Georgiy Tuka said this on air on the Espresso TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, she needs to be brought to justice for statements that Poroshenko is preparing an escalation in the Donbass in order to cancel the elections under the pretext of martial law.
“I hope that the presidential administration has enough professional lawyers to bring this person to justice for such accusations. She will then, of course, claim political persecution. Everyone who is taken to certain authorities begins to talk about political persecution. Mrs. Tymoshenko provided information about specific crimes committed by the President of Ukraine. “There are secret negotiations, a secret plan” - it’s unclear how she knows it, “surrender of territories.” Ultimately, one must be held accountable for such things. I am for her to be brought to justice,” Tuca said.
