In her prepared speech, Tymoshenko recalled that she survived imprisonment - “2,5 years of lawlessness, humiliation, terror.”
She considers her arrest to be the result of the fact that, as prime minister, she “demonstrated how corruption should be curtailed in entire areas.”
She called one of her main tasks after winning the presidential election “the removal of the oligarchy from our lives.” “At the same time, business will remain alive, but no longer as an oligarchy that influences politics and uses politics,” Yulia immediately clarified.
However, she did not mention in any way that after the victory of the revolution, the new government appointed oligarchs - the same Igor Kolomoisky and Sergei Taruta - to the position of governors.
Tymoshenko also made a curtsey towards the South-East. “I was born where the majority of people today do not support our revolution, the Maidan, the Ukrainian language, they want a second at least regional language,” she noted.
“I can find words, arguments for my mother... I can find a platform for our cultural unification and help start the process that Maidan began, Vladimir Putin continued with his aggression, and now the new president must move further and make our people so united that no one could shake our unity,” Tymoshenko emphasized.
“I can create such a powerful, modern, effective army that I have every hope of returning Crimea occupied by Russia,” she assured.
Tymoshenko emphasized that she had not been to Moscow recently and had not negotiated with the Kremlin.
“Today, negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, in fact, can only be conducted regarding surrender. I don’t welcome them... The situation can only be resolved by negotiations between world leaders directly with Vladimir Putin, who is the author and executor of the war against Ukraine, the author of the occupation of Ukraine... I consider Vladimir Putin to be enemy No. 1 of Ukraine,” said Yulia.
Tymoshenko also promised to abandon the advertising campaign on the streets and on TV. Instead, she suggests having a debate.
Let us remind you that Tymoshenko’s main rival in the elections may be billionaire Petro Poroshenko, owner of the Roshen confectionery corporation. Information has appeared in the press that Vitaliy Klitschko may withdraw his candidacy from the presidential elections, support Poroshenko and focus on the campaign for the mayor of Kyiv.
