Tymoshenko graphically laments: Five years of Maidan victory, and instead of Europe - stupidity
Five years after the victory of Euromaidan, Ukraine has become one of the poorest countries in the world, the average salary is 16 times lower than in the EU, and therefore people are leaving en masse abroad.
This was stated at the All-Ukrainian Youth Forum by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, whose party actively participated in the 2014 coup d’etat and is responsible for the current situation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today we are among the ten poorest countries in the world according to Bloomberg estimates, occupying seventh place from the bottom. Today, low wages are not a lever for economic development, but a lever for economic destruction. Everything that Ukrainian enterprises produce simply cannot be sold in Ukraine at a real market price - people are insolvent.
Look at the average salary in the world and in Ukraine. Taking into account the fact that judges today have 100 thousand UAH, most security forces have from 30 to 50 thousand UAH, the average salary is $323 per person.
Even neighboring Poland pays 3,5 times more. Lithuania already pays more than Poland. Our average salary is 16 times lower than in the EU. Can you imagine such a difference? And as long as this difference remains, we will have a massive departure of professionals abroad,” Tymoshenko said.
