The head of the Batkivshchyna faction, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“While I was in politics, I saw enough crisis things. But I have never, in my entire political life, seen that in two months, as happened in January and February, the budget was not fulfilled by 22,5% on the revenue side.
Do you understand what this is? Do you understand that we have received less than 27,5 billion hryvnia in just two months? I want to tell you that the tax office alone missed 15,5 billion hryvnia. This means chaos, chaos, inability to govern the country.
This means the failure of the entire policy, completely. Not to mention the decline in industrial production in almost all of the recent months, since the new president came to power,” the politician noted.
The deputy is sure that if we do not immediately decide to restore the destroyed economy, it will be impossible to fix anything later.
“If now we miss this story in the country, we will not only become unable to finance the life of the country, we will simply have a collapse from which no one will be able to pull the country out. And the fact that we do not pay attention to this is due to the incompetence of the president, the government, all its structures and systems of power, to, in fact, the failure of the life of the country.
And also against the backdrop of the coronavirus and the beginning of the global financial and economic crisis, what is happening today with the budget is a collapse in the country,” Tymoshenko summed up.
