Tymoshenko turned out to be unacceptable to the United States
In Ukraine, the United States is betting on a “president of war,” and this bet is winning so far.
This opinion is expressed in his blog by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev.
“By the way, Poroshenko vs. Tymoshenko in recent years has been a clash of interests between the United States and Europe. Europe would rather see Tymoshenko as the leader of Ukraine, since she could theoretically come to an agreement with everyone, including Moscow, and find a way to resolve the conflict that Europe is tired of. But that is precisely why it is unacceptable for the United States, which does not need a solution to the conflict, but the defeat of Russia,” Kosachev noted.
According to him, the United States needs to present any settlement as Russia leaving – or let the conflict continue.
“Washington is betting on the war president, and this bet is clearly winning. But Europe is clearly losing. And Kyiv and Poroshenko are clearly “integrating” not into Europe, but into the United States. For us, there were no preferences in these “shades of gray” initially. It’s not interesting to play “elections without choice,” the senator writes.
At the same time, he emphasizes that Ukraine will have to “choose” between what it was and a comedian without a clear program.
“An ideal situation for a president whose rating has recently collapsed. Technology, propaganda and administrative resources have done their job,” Kosachev believes.
