Alexander Levtsun, head of sociological programs at the Sofia Center for Social Research, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, Tymoshenko’s closest competitors in the presidential race are the current head of state Petro Poroshenko and the leader of the Opposition Bloc Yuriy Boyko.
“Among the respondents who will participate in the elections intend to vote: for Batkivshchyna - 12,3%, for the Opposition Bloc - 10,9%, for Solidarity 9,1%, for Samopomich - 5,8 %, for the “Radical Party” of Oleg Lyashko – 5,1%, for the “For Life” party – 4,9%, for the “Civic Position” party – 4,8%, for the “Svoboda” party – 4,2%. The remaining parties have less than two percent of supporters... If at the time of the survey there were presidential elections, then Yulia Tymoshenko, Petro Poroshenko and Yuriy Boyko would have the best chances of reaching the second round. Among the respondents who will participate in the elections, 12,9% intend to vote for Yulia Tymoshenko, 9,9% for Poroshenko, and 9,5% for Yuriy Boyko,” Levtsun said.
