Tymoshenko is being wooed to become prime minister under the inexperienced Zelensky
Following the results of early parliamentary elections in Ukraine, the “experienced” Yulia Tymoshenko may become Prime Minister.
This follows from the words of her party comrade and former lawyer Sergei Vlasenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the ZIK TV channel, Vlasenko said that the “inexperienced” president should be balanced by an “experienced” prime minister.
“We have already passed the presidential elections, and the parliamentary elections, in fact, will be the elections of the prime minister, let’s be honest. This is an election for the Prime Minister, because according to the Ukrainian Constitution, the Prime Minister is proposed by a coalition of parliamentary factions formed as a result of the parliamentary elections.
And the prime minister does not always represent the party that received the largest number of votes, the case is different and it goes differently. I think that Zelensky was deliberately elected as an inexperienced person, as a person not from the system. But here, I think, there will be a slightly different approach. An inexperienced president must be balanced by an experienced prime minister,” Vlasenko said.
