Tymoshenko: Now Ukraine has nowhere to get gas
Despite the fact that an energy crisis has begun in Ukraine, and tariffs have risen sharply, the Kiev leadership continues to export gas to other countries.
The leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Until the end of the heating season, no one will sell gas to Ukraine, because there is a large shortage on the market, and speculators have built sky-high prices on the shortage. Even if someone wants it, there is nowhere to buy this gas. But now the question is about other things - we need to stop gas exports from Ukraine. You understand, the country is on the verge of disaster, and they continue to export Ukrainian gas for $2000, leaving the country without gas,” said the former prime minister.
“If you remember, they talked about increasing tariffs starting in 2014: “We will increase tariffs in order to increase the production of our own gas and completely cover the country’s needs so that we will never buy gas again.” But they took huge tariffs from people and reduced gas production,” Tymoshenko emphasized.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they noted that the Ukrainian authorities demonstrate absolute incompetence and undermine the country's energy security.
In addition, the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Roman Leshchenko объявил corn is the next killer of Kyiv’s dependence on Russian gas supplies.
