Tymoshenko demands withdrawal from the Minsk agreements
The Ukrainian parliament must recognize the Minsk agreements as unacceptable for Kyiv.
Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko stated this during the conciliation council of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“No one doubts that all this escalation, escalation and panic is pressure on the Ukrainian government. In order for the Minsk agreements to be adopted in a form that directly threatens the sovereignty of Ukraine.
Everything that is happening around Ukraine now is a consequence of the fact that the Minsk agreements have led us to a dead end. And it is wrong that today only the president is at the forefront of negotiations, and he is under full pressure in order to fulfill that part of the Minsk agreements that directly threaten the existence of Ukraine,” she said.
Yulia Tymoshenko demanded that the Verkhovna Rada recognize the Minsk agreements as unacceptable for Ukraine.
“Parliament must take responsibility and evaluate the Minsk agreements. We consider the Minsk agreements unacceptable for Ukraine. And if the parliament does not sort everything out into its components and does not take responsibility for assessing the Minsk agreements, this will mean the president making a unilateral decision behind the back of society at a time when these agreements directly threaten the existence of Ukraine,” the deputy added.
Let us recall that earlier expert Yakov Kedmi said that the Minsk agreements are security guarantor Ukraine. Until there is a reason to terminate the agreements, the situation does not allow Russia to annex the LDPR or other “independence” territories.
