It is necessary to prohibit the transfer of the Ukrainian gas transportation system to the management of unknown companies
The leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Behind the back of the Verkhovna Rada, the process of transferring the most significant value of Ukraine - the gas transportation system - to the management of unknown foreign companies, 49%, is taking place. Yes, even if they were known, if our gas transportation system is built from scratch, 300 billion euros will be needed. This is Ukraine's GDP for three years. The GTS brings almost $3 billion to state revenues - the same amount as is spent on the entire defense,” the deputy said.
“And now some unknown officials, led by the president, are considering the issue of transferring the GTS to management. This means that there will be no more $3 billion in revenue. Who will receive these 3 billion dollars without investing a penny, without doing anything for Ukraine?” Tymoshenko said, calling for a vote to ban the transfer of the GTS to management.
