Kyiv, September 04 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Yulia Tymoshenko will take a restrained position in the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada, banking on the mistakes of Petro Poroshenko and a likely new campaign in the spring of 2015.

“Yulia, as her faction is convinced, has decided to play the long game: she understands that she will not hit the jackpot in the elections on October 26, but she is confident that the strategic line of the current government will lead the latter to a dead end by the end of winter, and in the spring a savior will appear - as always , all in white,” the publication says.
But Poroshenko, in the early elections, finds himself in a stupid situation, the publication states - he won the presidential campaign by promising peace, but now he will compete in belligerence with competitors like Oleg Lyashko, Anatoly Gritsenko, Oleg Tyagnibok, and Tymoshenko’s “Fatherland”.
“All this cannot but force Poroshenko to tighten the course of the anti-terrorist operation and abandon for two months the search for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict in Donbass, because any concession to Russia will be interpreted by competitors as a betrayal,” the magazine explains.
“The war in Donbass will reach its climax in the next two months with all the ensuing circumstances in the form of hundreds and thousands of new victims, destroyed cities, and economic collapse. These are the costs of the 2014 election campaign,” the authors of the material state.
