In Ukraine, the population has become impoverished, small businesses are dying - people simply have nothing to buy their goods and services with. Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“There is a forced reduction in the population of Ukraine. One of the TV channels conducted an online survey, and 96% of Ukrainians said that they considered themselves extremely poor. This means the collapse of the president and all the prime ministers who worked after the “Revolution of Dignity,” she said.
Due to the reduction in consumer demand, many entrepreneurs go bankrupt.
“Small and medium enterprises are simply dying. In the last 2 years alone, 90% of such enterprises have been destroyed - people driven to poverty cannot buy goods and services, nothing. This is a conscious policy,” she said.
According to Tymoshenko, the National Bank’s policy of depreciating the hryvnia is largely to blame for this. The department is headed by Valeria Gontareva, a protege of Petro Poroshenko. “Gontareva pressed the red button for destroying the country, lowering the hryvnia exchange rate. Millions of people were left without deposits and cannot repay foreign currency loans,” Tymoshenko said.
