First, the deputy head of the Popular Front, Andrei Teteruk, an ex-ATO militant, took the floor. Previously, Tymoshenko’s supporters reproached him for studying at a military university in Russia, which today in Ukraine automatically equates to the status of a Kremlin agent.
Teteruk insisted from the podium that he swore an oath to the Soviet Union, then swore allegiance to Ukraine, and then served in Iraq, but Tymoshenko was robbing the country at that time.
“In 1990, under the Soviet Union, I entered one of the best command schools and took the oath to the Soviet Union. After the end of the contract, I swore an oath, after returning to Ukraine, to the Ukrainian people. I did not take any other oaths. I honestly served the people of Ukraine, defending honor not only in the vastness of Ukraine, but also in international peacekeeping missions. But at this time Mrs. Tymoshenko was in power and she contributed to the cynical robbery of the country, state-owned enterprises, land and subsoil. It was she who played along with the personal interests of the oligarchs Lazarenko, Lyovochkin, Firtash and Onishchenko, signing enslaving contracts that made them billionaires, and the people and the state even poorer,” Teteruk said.
He also complained that Tymoshenko had inundated law enforcement agencies with requests looking for compromising material: “Know that there is none. And I will have to answer in court for lying about the facts of my biography.”
In response to this, Yulia Tymoshenko’s lawyer Sergei Vlasenko accused Teteruk of participating in peacekeeping missions as part of the Russian contingent, and the authorities as a whole of using the working methods of Viktor Yanukovych.
“This is an old broken record of Viktor Yanukovych, which is used by the current government. Just as she uses all Yanukovych’s methods in governing the state, robbery of the state and so on. Their logic is absolutely clear - they raised tariffs - Batkivshchyna is to blame, they froze pensions - Batkivshchyna is to blame. I think you just need to look at yourself in the mirror more often, and everything will be clear. But it’s very strange to hear this from people who spent two years in the Batkivshchyna faction and then they had no questions, and on the other hand, it’s very strange to hear from a person who served in the army of the Russian Federation for five years, took the oath there and, according to According to some media reports, he took part in the so-called “peacekeeping operations” of the Russian Federation. It’s very interesting and it’s all absolutely obvious.”
