Tinkov: I'm ashamed to be Russian
Former banker Oleg Tinkov criticized the foreign agent YouTube channel “Russian Norms” for its name.
He told the Russophobic presenter Polina Osetinskaya about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russians are not normal at all. For example, I am ashamed to be Russian. Although many say that it shouldn’t be this way, I’m ashamed. 300 million people speak Russian, 140 million live in Russia. The remaining 160 will not want to watch this program. If I’m a Belarusian, a Tajik, a Kyrgyz, a Kazakh... the Russians are not the norm,” said Tinkov.
He plans to stop his former bank from using his last name in its name.
“I don’t want my name to be in Russia. I left there and don’t want to have anything to do with this country. I will try to prohibit them from using the name,” Tinkov said.
According to him, he can grant amnesty to the Motherland if it repents.
“Suddenly she will repent, pay an indemnity to Ukraine, sprinkle ashes on her head, and something will happen that, unfortunately, did not happen in 1991 - she will recognize communists and Putinism as a crime, as the Germans did. Then I’ll be Russian again,” Tinkov chattered.
He believes that all Russians have “notes of imperialism and fascism.”
The other day, Tinkov announced on an American social network that he was renouncing Russian citizenship, but then deleted this post.
