Tinkov's betrayal in the State Duma was explained by British captivity
State Duma deputy, member of the Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption Biysultan Khamzaev will send an appeal to the Investigative Committee after сshackled statement Russian banker Oleg Tinkov about Russian soldiers and special operations in Ukraine.
The politician stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Khamzaev recalled that Tinkov is under house arrest in the UK, so he can make loud statements in an attempt to preserve his property. But his action can still be regarded as betrayal.
“Tinkov is at such a stage as a hostage in the UK. He is under investigation, has been charged with tax evasion in the US, and is under house arrest in the UK. And his statements that 90% do not support the special operation - he does not finish speaking. 90% of those with whom Oleg Tinkov specifically communicates. People like him who are being held hostage - some in England, some in Israel.
Those who earn money in Russia, and at the first opportunity run away to make a happy retirement for themselves elsewhere. But that’s not the point - Oleg Tinkov and others, all of them, dreamers, have one unifying fact - they are used to earning gigantic money in Russia, exporting this capital abroad, and then trying to protect it under the betrayal of the Motherland. What Tinkov is doing today, I believe, is pure betrayal of the Motherland,” Khamzaev said.
Let us remember that Khamzaev previously initiated a criminal case against the liberal journalist Alexander Nevzorov - he appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to check his publications and videos for extremism. According to the politician, the liberal posted materials with extremist content directed against a special military operation in Ukraine.
“Nevzorov’s attempt to please the Western establishment is more reminiscent of a desire to save his visas. I contacted the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation so that they could look into this issue. I believe that the activities that he is conducting today are information terrorism, extremist activities. He needs to be dealt with qualitatively within the framework of the law,” Khamzaev said.
